Did Rihanna give Chris Brown Herpes?

The plot thickens in the Chris Brown and Rihanna scandal. Rumor has it that Chris Brown blew up at Rihanna because she gave him an STD - herpes to be exact. Various blogs claim that Rihanna got herpes from a famous rapper and passed it on to her current boyfriend. Guess who the rapper was. I'll give you a hint, starts with "J", ends with "Z". The R&B singer supposedly just started showing the symptoms and lashed out at his girlfriend as a result.

The story sounds a bit out there. But do you think it could be true and may explain his behavior? If so, do you think it's warranted for Chris Brown to blow up like that? Aside from the Rihanna and Chris Brown drama, if someone gave you herpes, would you want to smack the hell out of him or her?

My conspiracy theory is that Brown's people are spreading that nasty rumor to try and take some of the heat off of him. I don't believe it. And even if it turns out to be true that is NO excuse for violence.

When he felt violent towards her, that was a sign that he needed to end the relationship.

I heard on the radio this morning that there were actually record label execs present when this happened. And it seems they didn't stop Chris and Rihanna from fighting.

Rihanna 'May' have the oral form. However, this does not necessarily mean she has genital herpes; which tends to hold an even greater stigma. If she does in fact have both oral & genital herpes; which would be unfortunate. This doesn't make her a whore or slut. More importantly it doesn't justify being physically assualted; if that is in fact what happend. Also about 1 in 5 Americans over the age of 12 has Herpes in some form. 1 in 5! There are nearly 50 posts on this subject here, so it stands to reason that atleast 10 of us is infected. (Not taking into account multiple posts, just an example.)

Although all of this is tantilizing and in some ways very stimulating to talk about. Let us not forget that "Big ass Douglas Fir, hanging out of our eye socket!"

I dont know what to think but if Rihanna did give Chris herpes and got them from Jay-Z this whole deal would have been way bigger and involved more people than just Rihanna & Chris! There would be Jay-z, Beyonce, and probably there families. I dont know the reason Chris beat up Rihanna, but if this all is true and those are facts, she should be lucky the only thing he did was beat her up. Others probably would have took it farther!

This is definitely unfortunate, if it is true. Before I heard this rumor, I was upset to hear that another woman had gotten beat by someone who supposedly loves her, celebrity or not. BUT, after I heard that this might be the reason why, I had nothing at all to say. I can't say what I would have done if a guy I was seeing gave me an STD I couldn't get rid of, but I know for sure walking away without comment would certainly not be one of the choices. Liz, Douglas Fir is a type of tree; a pine tree to be exact. And I was refering to the biblical parable and passage from Matthew 7:5; "You hypocrite! First remove the beam {or log/big piece of wood} from your own eye, and then you will see clearly enough to remove the mote/speck {piece of dust} from your brother's eye."! What I'm saying is: "Statistically" we (you, I, our fellow posters) are likely to have HERPES in one of it's many forms. Or atleast, faces the risk of contracting it within our life time.
So why all the hatred; (i.e. "I'd kill him/her if they gave it to me!", "I'd beat his/her ass too!" and so on). It's asinine! When each and every one of us takes the same risks when we lay down with some famous or not so famous.

I just had a similar scare. My girlfriend came out and told me she had herpes. That shit has me devastated to this day, even though afterward I took a test and was negative. Doctors say you won't get it even if the person does have it if they are not shedding at the time or if you don't come into contact with one of the symptom bombs and stuff. But I know what I just went through was uncalled for ( the scare). To think to actually catch it. I hope he does a lot of praying. On another tip I think God is who really saved me.

I think it is time to look at the whole picture instead of giving glib statments of "there is never an excuse to hit a woman." That may be true, but is it the whole truth? Is there an excuse for a woman giving a man an incurable STD that she knew about beforehand? That too is a form of abuse. As far as protection goes CONDOMS DO NOT PREVENT HERPES PLEASE EDUCATE YOURSELVES. Herpes can appear anywhere on the genitalia including the area where pubic hairs grow. She could have had a blister buried in those hairs--we don't know. I am a woman but I am fair, and if that is the case that she gave him herpes I believe he has a very good case to plead for temporary insanity.

funny how Beyonce doesn't have herpes lol. I think jay z sees Rihanna as his little sister. And I doubt Beyonce puts up with a cheating man. Plus Chris Brown seems like a cheat so he would probably give something to Rihanna.

i really get were people are coming from when they say "never put your hands on a women" well i think it should be the same a womrn cant put there hands on a man and expect for them not to do anything about it. im in love with chris brown no matter what he did so of course im going to try to not put it all on him but he should not have done that just like she should not have had sex with chris brown when she had that disease so i think its really both of there faults in a way. and i also do not thick fucking ugly ass jay-z gave her herpies

As a married woman who was given herpes by her unfaithful husband, if she did give it to him I completely understand why he beat her ass, I put my husband in the hospital (mainly because I was pregnant with our child at the time he gave it to me. And I'm sure someone is gonna make the comment well were you cheating on him, and no after 5 years of being married I remained faithful until the day our divorce was final. If Rihanna gave him herpes she deserved to get her ass beat (if she knew she had it and didn't tell him) I.e. my ex husband knew the lady he was sleeping with had it but didn't think about wrapping his Johnson to keep me from getting it while pregnant so he deserved the ass beating.
