There seems to be a lot of changes happening over at ABC lately. Chris Cuomo made the announcement earlier this week that he was leaving Good Morning America for 20/20, and this morning Diane Sawyer said Good Morning America for the very last time. She is set to move to another spot on ABC's roster. She will now be the host of World News Tonight.
Diane Sawyer has spent nearly eleven years as the host to Good Morning America. Her first appearance was on January 18th, 1999. This morning, December 11th, 2009, marked her last appearance. She was called the queen of morning news television by her co-anchor this morning. She recalled some of her favorite moments over the years before saying good-bye to the show that has been her home for all these years.
Who is taking her place? The man coming in to fill her shoes is George Stephanopoulos. There have been rumors that he was set to be tapped for the job in the past, but it looks to be a little bit more official. He was welcomed onto the show this morning. Juju Chang is also coming in to host Good Morning America starting Monday morning. See the beginning of Diane's final day on Good Morning America along with a video of her co-workers remembering some of their favorite moments below.
