The Jackson estate seems to want it all. They wanted the big funeral, and the publicity that went with it. They wanted the adoring fans at Michael Jackson's funeral, but not everyone in the city of Los Angeles agreed to pay for Michael Jackson's funeral, nor should they. Jose Freddie Vallejos filed suit against the city and claims the city did have jurisdiction to pay 3.3 million dollars to bury the king of pop.
According to TMZ, "Jose Freddie Vallejos claims it was illegal for Los Angeles city fathers to underwrite the Michael Jackson memorial last July to the tune of $3.3 million."
Not everyone in Los Angelos liked Michael Jackson, and maybe they remember him as a a man who paid millions to not be convicted of child molestation. Just maybe, Jose Freddie Vallejos is right.
Michael Jackson died June 25, 2009.
