The Jersey Shore Guidos and Guidettes are scoring in the payola department. Like the Friends cast before them (who banded together for more cash) the cast has rejected MTV's salary offer for season two of their hit reality series, when they were offered a $10,000 signing bonus and $5000 per episode.
The cast has come back by saying that everyone should get the same salary amount and it had to be a lot higher than what MTV originally proposed. According to TMZ, MTV has doubled the offer, raising it to $10,000 an episode.
Compared to the show the Hills, this payment is peanuts as some of their cast memers rake in over $100,000 an episode.
Apparently, the cast of Jersey Shore has a contract with MTV for a second season, but that hasn't stopped them from negotiating.
In MTV's court, they have received thousands of tapes from wanna be cast members.
