Janell Wheeler, a 24-four-year-old blues singer from Florida, was the first American Idol contestant called out for a spot in the Top 24. To say she is thrilled is to say she ate toast for breakfast. Her happiness went way beyond a bland set of burnt bread.
Meanwhile, other semifinalists revealed on Wednesday are Andrew Garcia from Moreno Valley, CA; Tyler Grady from Nazareth, PA.; Alex Lambert from North Richland Hills, TX; Joe Munoz, from Huntington Park, CA.; John Park from Evanston, IL.; and Jermaine Sellers from Joliet, IL.
Female semifinalists are Crystal Bowersox, Lacey Brown, Michelle Delamor, Siobhan Magnus, Paige Miles, Ashley Rodriguez, Lilly Scott, Katie Stevens and Haeley Vaughn.
Other semifinalists include Didi Benami, Lee Dewyze, Katelyn Epperly, Aaron Kelly, Casey James, Todrick Hall, Michael “Big Mike” Lynche and Tim Urban!
