DWTS has finally found its replacement for co-host Samantha Harris. The latest news is that Brooke Burke is Dancing with the Stars new host. Brooke is familiar with the show as a former contestant and winner in November of 2008. She'll now join Tom Bergeron to host the show starting on March 22nd.
Other work to Brooke Burke's credit includes her hosting gigs for CBS' "Rock Star" and E!'s "Wild On". She also serves as a correspondent for a show called "The Doctors" and has her own parenting issues business. Burke is a busy entrepreneur and mom of four, but should make for a suitable host for DWTS.
Brooke tweeted to show her excitement yesterday about her upcoming hosting job:
"I am so excited, blessed and ready for DWTS!!! Thanks for all the luck, wishes and support. Great news to come Hm to. :)!!!   3:03 PM Mar 8th  via TweetDeck"
"I'm so excited to be returning to the DWTS family. Read all about it! http://bit.ly/cGkRYU 6:11 AM Mar 8th  via TweetDeck"
Burke also wrote about her feelings about returning to the show as co-host on the ModernMom.com website. She mentioned that she knows how it feels to be backstage awaiting your turn to dance or get graded on the dancing, and it's quite nerve wracking!
For the upcoming season Brooke will be talking to contestants that include Kate Gosselin, Erin Andrews, Pamela Anderson, Buzz Aldrin, Chad Ochocinco and John Stamos.
Currently, Brooke Burke (@BrookeBurke) has well over 1 million followers on her Twitter profile, and that's likely to grow exponentially with the news of her new job. The Brooke Burke Dancing with the Stars hosting era begins in less than two weeks, on Monday March 22, 2010 at 8PM EST on ABC.
