Katherine Heigl needed a serious intervention the other night, a fashion emergency occurred and there was no help to be found. With strikingly different brown locks, the star had a wardrobe malfunction of the highest order. In Las Vegas at the ShoWest movie industry convention, in front of hundreds of industry hoo-haas, Heigl's dress fell apart as she was on stage accepting the Female Star of the Year Award! The quick-thinking emcee, Billy Bush, came to the actress' rescue by holding the strap in place while she completed her speech. "Oh my," Bush posted on Twitter, "Hosting showest awards in LV. Heigl comes up to get award, dress strap breaks...I hold her top on while she accepts!" Heigl later secured everything in place with a safety pin.
Is this as embarrassing as the diva attitude that has gotten her off GREY'S ANATOMY, the show that made her start the climb that is culminating in this ShoWest award. Actually, ShoWest gives the award each year to an actress who has made a big bump in her screen career--and Heigl is that, regardless of how you regarded THE UGLY TRUTH.
Will she be able to maintain her upwardly-mobile career with wardrobe malfunctions and talk of a nasty attitude towards those who have to help any actress up the proverbial Hollywood hills? Do you think her days are numbered or will she one day be America's Sweetheart, regardless of the less-than-sweet way she likes to express herself?
