DMX accepted an offer from Dr. Drew Pinsky's "Celebrity Rehab" but an Arizona judge is refusing to allow him to leave the Arizona jail he is current at and cross the border into California where Dr. Drew's rehab clinic and camera crew are.
The judge pointed out that the Arizona court-appointed substance abuse program is working well with DMX and will end in July.
A Maricopa County Superior Court in Arizona representative stated that after their Arizona program ends, DMX will be able to seek further treatment at Dr. Drew's facility if he so chooses.
DMX was sent back to jail in March of this year for admitting he'd violated his probation five times due to using illegal drugs.
Good for the judge to stick to what's working. There's no reason to take an inmate out of a productive environment only to move him into a similar facility. Who would foot that bill? Taxpayers or "Celebrity Rehab"? Either way, what the representative said was true, if DMX genuinely wants to get help from Dr.Drew, he can always go find him later after the cameras are done rolling.
