Last night's episode of Saturday Night Live featured some hot musical performances by rap star Jay-Z. In his first set which lasted over eight minutes total, he did a medley of hits. Jay opened with "PSA" then launched into "99 Problems" both from his black album. From there he went to the newest material "On to the Next" and "Empire State of Mind" off The Blueprint 3. Jay also enlisted the help of a live band, and then a mystery female sang the part of Alicia Keys on Empire. That mystery woman on the SNL is Bridget Kelly. She even tweeted about her performance last night:
"I would ask where the party's @ cuz I feel like dancin, (I'm on an adrenaline high), but I think everyone is home, just finished watchin SNL    about 8 hours ago via UberTwitter  "
This isn't the first time Bridget Kelly has helped Jay out. She's also performed at a 9/11 Memorial Service, MTV Europe Music Awards 2009 and Coachella. The 22-year-old from New York is quite the talent and is currently signed to Jay's Roc Nation record label. Seems like she could be another hot artist to come out of the Jigga camp ala Ne-Yo and Rihanna.
Some have even likened Bridget Kelly to an Alicia Keys stunt double. She's definitely easy on the eyes. Unfortunately, the Jay-Z & Bridget Kelly Empire State of Mind SNL videos have been deleted or blocked by NBC Universal. You can watch Bridget Kelly helps out on the Johnathan Ross show in 2009 with the song "Empire State of Mind", video below.
