Christina Aguilera: “I’m in it for the long haul"... NOT Lady Gaga - "Not Myself Tonight" VIDEO & Lryics - TEAM POLL

 

Christina Aguilera has been facing some serious criticism since releasing her latest music video for her song, "Not Myself Tonight". Several people, me included are comparing her to Lady Gaga. I think it's a safe comparison given the fact that Aguilera has been out of the music scene for a few years and Lady Gaga is now the dominating female singer.

However, Aguilera could care less what anyone has to say about her and when comparisons are being made of her and Lady Gaga, Aguilera told GQ, “I’m in it for the long haul, and a decade later in my career, I have nothing to prove, To anyone who wants to be negative, it’s like, ‘I’m obviously relevant enough to you for you to care and to talk and to evoke negative feelings inside of you.’ At this point in my career, I’m over any and all weird comparisons or negativity.”

Hmmm... she's got a point. She's a celebrity and though not one or ever one of my favorites, she keeps herself in the limelight. To me this little portion of her statement: “I’m in it for the long haul..." seems to imply that Lady Gaga may just be a period spectacle that will eventually go away like other artist but rest assured because Xtina is here to stay... hey, that's what I got from it.

Whatever, I don't really care about either of them but if I had to choose, I'd choose TEAM Gaga. Which Team are you?
