Lance Armstrong crashed his bike during the Tour of California on Thursday. Lance’s day isn’t getting any easier after allegations of doping are still lingering from Landis’ fess up.
According to ESPN, Lance was taken to the hospital for X-rays and received stitches in his elbow and under his left eye.
Lance’s coach Johan Bruyneel described Lance being in the crash, describing it as “hugeâ€.
The leader of the pack, slid and fell on loose gravel only a couple of miles into the race which caused the domino effect for many, many cyclists to follow suit.
So, bad day overall for Lance. Floyd Landis, who came clean about performance-enhancing drugs, accused Lance of blood doping and covering up test results in 2002. Lance is denying Landis’ claims, “I have nothing to hide. History speaks for itself.â€
Bruyneel said about Landis that,"I've always known Floyd as an angry person .. somebody who's basically angry with the world. To me it sounds like he just wants to drag down people who are still there and enjoying this.â€
Obviously Lance puts all he has into his races – driven, focused, and heads for the win. It was a tough crash to avoid, but besides that, Lance won’t let Landis drag him down – this was a coincidence.
