Actor Gary Coleman is dead according to CNN. The child star of "Diff'rent Strokes", a popular sitcom back in the 70's and 80's was age 42. His reported cause of death was a brain hemorrhage. Also see: How did Gary Coleman die?
It had previously been reported by website TMZ.com that actor Gary Coleman was hospitalized in Utah after becoming ill at his home. He was rushed by ambulance to the hospital and his reported condition at the time was serious. Coleman was taken from that hospital to another one, the Utah Valley Medical Center in Provo on Wednesday night. There weren't many details known until now.
Coleman is famous for playing the role of Arnold Jackson on "Diff'rent Strokes". The show centered around a wealthy widower who had adopted him. His trademark phrase was "Whatchu talkin bout Willis?!" which was often used in reference to his older brother played by Todd Bridges.
Coleman had a kidney condition called nephritis and never grew over 4 feet 8 inches due to it. Unfortunately, Gary Coleman also became the victim of mismanaged finaces from his childhood fame. He ended up getting a $1.3 million lawsuit settlement in 1993. However the star hit financial trouble later down the road when he had to file for bankruptcy.
It was reported early in 2010 that Coleman had been hospitalized after a seizure he experienced during a TV interview. He had seemingly been fine since that, although TMZ showed images of Coleman requiring wheelchair assistance at an airport.
