According to Perez Hilton, Tom Cruise freaked out at the National Movie Awards red carpet because his Stepford of a wife, Katie Holmes, was going to be within actual touching distance of her old love, DAWSON'S CREEK co-star and ex, Joshua Jackson! Cruise did NOT want to walk the red carpet with the FRINGE star and so . . .he didn't! In fact, he showed up very late, to make sure that he didn't have to walk with ANYONE on the red carpet. Geez, Tom, didn't anybody tell you that showing up late is a NO-NO!?
According to the Queen of all Media, Mr. Hilton:
Sources at the event claim that Tom had his people call with all kinds of "stipulations" to ensure that he would still attend. He wanted it confirmed that Josh and his GF Diane Kruger
were seated far away from him and Katie. He wanted extra security, although what he thought Josh might do to him, we don't know. He demanded two dressing rooms - one for himself and one for all the offerings to his daughter Suri Cruise so that she might keep her father from exploding. Finally, Tom showed up 45 minutes after Josh, which was 15 after the show had already started. He then took his sweet time smoozing with fans on the red carpet before finally heading inside.
Okay, I know that Perez isn't always on the up and up but come on! If any of this story is right, well, Suri's dad is a big jerk. Get a grip, Tom! You own Katie now and Joshua has moved on to a woman who a) is from another country and b) starred in one of the best films of last year, INGLORIOUS BASTERDS! Wish them well and move on!
Do you think that Tom Cruise has a bit of a Napoleon complex? For a little man, he sure makes one big stink wherever he goes!
