Bethenny Frankel, of Housewives of New York is making headlines across the board for her dramatic 29 pound weight loss since the birth of baby girl Bryn on May 8th. US Magazine features Bethenny’s weight loss PHOTO, in a size 4 bathing suit! Bethenny originally gained 35 pounds during her pregnancy and has just about lost it all.Â
So how’d she do it in 3 short weeks?! That’s about 10 pounds per week! Which is considered an unhealthy way of losing weight – normal and healthy weight loss is about 2 pounds per week. Most people have a hard time losing 10 pounds in a month, let alone 10 pounds in a week!
However, Bethenny says, “I don’t believe in dietsâ€, who is also chef and author of Naturally Thin: Unleash Your SkinnyGirl and Free Yourself from a Lifetime of Dieting. Bethenny claims she stayed fit through her pregnancy with yoga and walking alongside a vegetarian diet.
So what does she eat now that’s shedding off the pounds? Here’s a sample menu in a typical day: a muffin and fruit for breakfast, a veggie sandwich and soup at lunch and BBQ chicken and a half a sweet potato for dinner.
So is Bethenny following her own nutrition plan from the book she wrote in order to lose so much weight so quick?
The NY Post reported Bethenny’s weight loss concern, as one reader wrote,
"This sets a very unattainable standard for the majority of new mothers,"
Fit Pregnancy’s editor in chief Peg Moline also commented on the weight loss of Bethenny:
"I'm concerned if she's taking care of herself, getting enough rest and enough food, and not obsessing about losing the weight so quickly.
Bethenny has admitted to being obsessed by food and diet in the past. So has Bethenny secretly returned to her old ways while promoting her Skinny Girl book?
