Betty White is appearing on ABC's Nightline on June 11th, and she will talk about being the last living Golden Girl. We lost Rue McClanahan just earlier this month, and Betty White took the news hard. White was the oldest of the four women that appeared on the popular 80s television series, The Golden Girls. The series still airs in syndication.
McClanahan passed on as the result of the complications of a stroke she had in recent months. Betty White has had a resurgence in popularity this year. She hosted Saturday Night Live and just this passed Sunday night she appeared on the 2010 MTV Movie Awards to present an award to Sandra Bullock along side Bradley Cooper and Scarlett Johansson.
I have always been a huge fan of The Golden Girls, and it is sad to see that they have left us one by one. Betty White is a survivor. See the small clip of her interview set to air on tonight's Nightline below. For more of my celebrity gossip coverage, go here. For more of my television news, go here.
