Miley Cyrus crotch shot photo scandal seen 'round the world

Perez Hilton, known for revealing celebrities' private moments -- and at times their private parts -- is in hot water for posting a scandalous photo of 17-year-old Miley Cyrus. In it, the young pop-star is getting out of a car wearing a very short dress, with her crotch is full view. (Though some initially thought she was walking around with no panties, other photos show the singer was wearing underwear.)

Some are questioning whether or not Perez could be charged with child pornography -- Miley is still underage -- however, according to E! Online, it is unlikely. At least the offensive photo has been taken down from the tabloid site, but that doesn't mean it's not floating its way around online. Once something hits the internet, there's no real way of getting rid of it.

Poor Miley! The girl is just 17-years-old, but the media doesn't go easy on her one bit. Imagine how embarrassing this whole crotch-shot fiasco must be for her. At her age, I was very self-conscious about my looks. I can't imagine what it must be like, knowing the world is examining the layout of your nether regions. I think everyone deserves the right to decide whether or not their Sharon Stone "Basic Instinct" moment is made public, whether their 17 or 67-years-old. How does the media get away with this type of stuff anyway?
