UPDATE: TMZ is now reporting that Vienna wanted out of the relationship because she felt Jake is a "fame whore" (dear pot, love kettle) who was constantly ditching her for photo shoots and media events. Vienna also denies cheating. The two reportedly kept it classy by ending the relationship during a phone call Monday night.
In an announcement that shocks absolutely no one, most recent Bachelor Jake Pavelka and final rose recipient Vienna Girardi have broken up.
TMZ reports that Pavelka called off the engagement within the last 24 to 48 hours after witnessing Girardi flirt with "Greek" actor Gregory Michael at a recent event.
Many viewers were surprised Pavelka, a former pilot, chose the polarizing Girardi, who was splashed across covers of Us Weekly during the show's run amid reports of plastic surgery and a wild past, over wholesome divorcee Tenley Molzahn.
The break-up conveniently comes as the pair's 15 minutes seem to be running out. Pavelka was a contestant on "Dancing with the Stars" immediately after "The Bachelor" ended, with Girardi frequently in the audience.
The Bachelor/Bachelorette franchise has now produced just two lasting couples in 19 seasons. (Season 20, featuring Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky, who also appeared on Pavelka's season of "The Bachelor," is currently airing.)
