Katy Perry may have already married Russell Brand. The singer made an appearance on the Graham Norton Show in which she referred to Brand’s mother as her “mother-in-law.†She also used “married him,†in reference to Brand, then tried to take it back by saying, “marrying him.†Oops!

So have Perry and Brand tied the knot, or is this just a way for them to “keep the press guessing,†as Perry said? I’ve known people who weren’t married, but referred to themselves as husband and wife, so it’s possible that “mother-in-law†is more related to the whole spirit of the relationship rather than the legal status.
However, if Brand and Perry are already married that may explain the matching tattoo Katy got to mirror Russell’s recently. It would also explain her decision to ban straight guys from her naked California Gurls video shoot. The contract of marriage can have a tendency to change one's behaviors.
Either way, married or not, I suppose the joke’s on us for not catching on sooner.
