Katy Perry Compares Miley Cyrus to Britney Spears, Not Lindsay Lohan

How funny is Katy Perry, calling out all these celebrities? Life and Style recently reported that Katy was overheard, at last month's MuchMusic Video Awards in Toronto, saying that Miley Cyrus was, "Britney Spears all over again."

When Katy's friend suggested that Miley might be more like Lindsay Lohan than Britney Spears, Katy reportedly replied, "No, she's definitely headed the Britney route. It's worse. Look at those outfits. It's bad."

Katy recently called out Lady Gaga for using blasphemy to sell her music. Is this just a little competitive rivalry, or does Katy have a point? With so many celebrities simply copying the fashions and sounds of others, it's important to have someone like her, who's not afraid to call them on it.

When Britney copied Madonna's look of the 80s, 20 years had already passed, so it seemed at least a little more novel; but Miley is copying Britney, and Britney is still around... sort of... It's all just so boring and unoriginal. Katy's comments, while they may be fueled by jealousy, are at least bringing some much-needed excitement to the music scene. I just have one question for her: Is Britney really worse than Lindsay Lohan?
