It seems the Mel Gibson tapes were edited. Oksana Grigorieva secretly recorded Gibson in their home. Then, she later edited them according to TMZ.
If, in fact, the tapes of Gibson are edited, then they will not be able to be used in the court trial. Of course, that doesn’t mean that they won’t be used in the trial of the public. Regardless of if the tapes are tampered with, Mel Gibson is toast in the public’s opinion. The editing may save him legally, but it won’t save his reputation.
Have you heard the Mel Gibson tapes yet? I haven’t listened to all of them, but I have read what they said, and I heard clips of them on TV. It is unbelievable! The things he said were so hateful and hurtful. Plus, now Grigorieva is saying that he abused her and their child. This whole thing is a major disaster. I just hope that their child will be okay.

I'm pretty sure given the DUI he had several years back, and from things i've heard about him that he does have a drinking problem, and given his attitude from the tapes, edited or not he has anger issues.
Mel Gibson's acting has saved him in the past.....but as he gets older, and more comes out about him, I am not sure he can depend on that.
