David Hasselhoff: The Roast

A roast and David Hasselhoff.....could any two terms be more suited to one another? David Hasselhoff is probably the best person in show business anyone could roast, because there are so many things he's done that can so easily be made fun of.

According to the Huffington Post, an upcoming Comedy Central Roast of David Hasselhoff has Tweeters twitting, Twitters tweeting, Facebookers face-spacing and the entire comedy world anticipating the fun. It will undoubtedly include the video taken by his daughter of him drunk-as-a-skunk, rolling around on the floor eating a cheeseburger while slurring his words---a lovely depiction of the Hoff, indeed.

USAToday is reporting that David Hasselhoff has already done two promo ads for the Comedy Central roast in his honor, and that even the ads indicate he's ready for a roast full of ribbing.

Comedy Central will be airing "The Roast of David Hasselhoff" on Sunday, August 15 at 10PM, which is the perfect day for lounging on the couch and laughing at the Hoff, because it just so happens to be this writer's birthday. By then the cake will have been consumed and the presents opened. An entire stack of items like perfume (allergic) and assorted colored pens (Why do people think writers use pens? Hint: computer keyboard!) will be bagged up and ready for returning and this writer will be more than ready for some laughs. After all, when one feels old and insignificant, one need only watch David Hasselhoff for an hour or so to feel like they're way up high, on the very top of the world!
