Mischa Barton at Marc Jacobs' "Bang" Launch

Mischa Barton attended Marc Jacobs' fragrance launch on Thursday night at Harvey Nichols in London. The actress’ look was much improved from her recent appearances. She wore an interesting black number with a nude skirt and ruffles on each hip. While the success of the outfit is questionable, her hair and make-up fared better.

At the party, Mischa’s disheveled updo and smoky eye were a far cry from recent pictures of her with a wan look, pale coloring and unkempt hair. Gossip blogger Perez Hilton took to calling the actress a, “ghost,” among other names. She was also called out for her belly-baring tops, super bright yellow pants and other outfits that didn‘t show her figure in the best light. Showing she didn’t lack a sense of humor, Mischa defended those yellow trousers with the words, “don’t hate on my banana pants!”

The actress hasn’t quite got her footing back, career-wise, since a string of unsuccessful movies, a DUI arrest in 2007 and an incident last year that led to a psychiatric hold in an LA hospital. Hopefully, this latest appearance signals a brighter phase for the 24 year old.
