A British department store is following the "Twilight Saga" with a line of underwear inspired by "Twilight's" Robert Pattinson. R-Pant is the low-rise-brief that bears R-Patz name or more so his inspiration. The slim fitting R-Pant named for R-patz is not for the average man, but is aimed at the slim teenage body.
The R-Pant is for skinny jeans and skinny men. What's the marketing stragey here for the store, Marks and Spencer? It's quite simple really. The line of R-Pants is aimed at the younger man, and it is for the savvy fashion minded teenager. The line also bets on the appeal of "Twilight fans."
Everyone is ma
king money off of "Twilight" including Robert Pattinson, so why not underwear. Robert Pattinson will not do commercials for the new line of underwear, but he is the inspiration for the new garments.
Will they sell? Probably quite well. Not only does the line carry the Robert Pattinson name of a sort, but the younger more fashion savvy teen needs new underwear. Men's undergarments haven't changed much since the loincloth.
"Olie Arnold, style director of Men's Health, believes there is a market for lower-rise pants, according to The Guardian.co.uk. The new line of men's underwer will go on sale this September.
