According to Michael Hill of the Associated Press, the sleepy town of Rhinebeck, NY is buzzing with excitement over Chelsea Clinton’s imminent wedding. Ms. Clinton and investment banker Marc Mezvinsky will tie the knot this coming Saturday.
The ceremony will be held at Astor Courts, a luxurious estate built by John Jacob Astor IV, with panoramic views of the Hudson River.
The local merchants are looking forward to the festivities, since A listers as well as media will descend upon Rhinebeck with money to burn.
Ira Gutner, owner of Samuel’s coffee shop said, "I think this will put us on the map in an entirely different way. People will say, 'Oh, let's go to Rhinebeck, Chelsea Clinton got married there.' ... We'll forever be known for this.â€
According to the New York Daily News.com, 500 guests will attend the wedding, including Oprah, Barbara Streisand and Steven Spielberg, Ted Turner, Steven Bing and Denise Rich.
Chelsea and Marc actually met in college and both of their fathers were involved in notorious scandals. According to an anonymous source, Chelsea is very "down to earth." It seems Hillary and Bill invited many of the guests, undoubtedly for political reasons, which would explain the A-listers and former heads of state on the guest list.
