Dads Say The Darnedest Things: Mel Gibson's Pop...

Hutton Gibson, everyone's favorite Holocaust denier/spawner of "Boyfriend of the Year" candidate Mel Gibson, has popped open another can of well-reasoned thoughtfulness, wherein Pope Benedict XVI is dismissed as a homosexual and much of the Vatican as "queer."

According to TMZ (who else?), jabberin' Hutt made the remarks whilst appearing on something called the "Political Cesspool Radio Program," which seems about right. Ol' HG was asked if the Catholic Church has become "politicized" to the point where it can no longer discuss things like homosexuality (rarely a common topic of discussion to begin with, if memory serves), to which Nutty Hutty replied, "It's not willing to do so because half of the people there in the Vatican are queer."

Ah, of course. But does this all mean that he believes Joey Ratz, a.k.a. Pope Benny, is homosexual as well? "I certainly do ... why else would he put up with this?" the learned sage replied, noting that the Papal one is "a slippery character."

The Wit & Wisdom of Hutton Gibson, incidentally, will not be appearing at a bookstore near you anytime in the foreseeable future.
