Pittsburgh Steelers safety Troy Polamalu will be keeping his long hair for awhile.
Lloyds of London has insured Polamalu's wild and crazy locks for one million bucks! Lloyds of London wants to ensure the safety (no, not him) of Polamalu's hair through the 2010-2011 football season.
"'Head & Shoulders has gone above and beyond by insuring my Samoan locks for a cool $1 million dollars,' Polamalu said. 'This reinforces that my full and thick hair is unstoppable'" (via USA Today).
Polamalu does commercials for Head & Shoulders and is featured on their website. However, insuring his hair for $1 million is a little much, isn't it? Does Head & Shoulders really need Polamalu or is this more for publicity?
Head & Shoulders even has a game on their website in honor of Polamalu and what's fascinating is that no one probably knew about any of it until now.
