Law & Order star Mariska Hargitay recently said she's proud of her amazing body. The actress is a size 8 despite the fact that most of Hollywood is obsessed with super-skinny model actresses. Hargitay is not only an actress with a hot body but also has won critical acclaim in the form of Golden Globe and Emmy trophies for her acting work on "Law & Order: SVU."
According to Showbiz Spy, Mariska Hargitay says she's "very attractive," but that doesn't mean the award-winning actress doesn't have her share of insecurities.
She notes "I think I'm a very attractive person, but I don't put myself in the realm of the beauty, “That’s not where I get my esteem. I’m a size 8, and I feel proud of that, because it’s healthy. I’ve never felt compelled to be a skinny actress.

Believe it or not the star of "Law & Order: SVU" also is very worried about her financial situation. Hargitay admits:
“I constantly worry about money,†she said. “I make a lot now, but I don’t feel that way, because I was poor and had no money for a lot longer than I’ve had it.
“As an actor, if this show ends next year, then what? As an aging woman, then what? I’m saving money to live on, for the future. There are not that many roles for women, and I’ve been blessed with one of the great ones.â€
Mariska Hargitay is definitely one of the hottest police detectives ever to appear on a "Law & Order" series, no offense to the many beautiful women on "Law & Order: Criminal Intent." The L&O show which deals with special, heinous crimes becomes even more watchable than it already is thanks to Mariska. It's interesting to hear that she's worried about money though, because Mariska should have no problem landing some sort of other work if the show ever meets its demise. Currently, L&O is one of the few remaining of the series, as the longtime regular series recently was canceled and "Criminal Intent" may be next on the chopping block.
