Lady Gaga is no stranger to controversy, what with her risque style and controversial lifestyle choices. Even still, however, an all new controversy has circulated recently, with late singer Lina Morgana's mother, Yana Morgana, claiming the pop icon "stole" her daughter's dark side, and that Lina Morgana is the "real lady gaga."
Lina Morgana, a singer who had collaborated with Lady Gaga prior to her dramatic rise to fame, committed suicide in 2008 when she jumped from the Staten Island hotel. She was just 19 at the time.
Morgana's mother told the New York Post, "that the Gaga of that era didn’t wear the kind of clothes she now shows everywhere, including lingerie and wigs." She claims that she's not going to sue the star, but rather wants the music of her daughter to be known, and that she's, "doing this because I want to keep her spirit alive. Lady Gaga is holding Lina’s soul, and I want her soul to be free.â€
That's right. She's gone as far as to say that Lady Gaga is actually hanging on to the late singer's soul.
What do you think? Does Morgana have a copyright on having a "dark" side and wearing lingerie and wigs? Or is this the thinking of a grieving mother, stricken by the loss of her daughter? You decide.
