Well you knew this was coming.
Lady Gaga has broken the fashion mold once again, wearing a dress made out of raw meat at the MTV VMA's. The dress was one of three costume changes that Gaga made, and was the most talked about.
Dressing in raw meat for a second time (first was on the cover of Vogue Japan), with matching shoes, purse, and hat (also, all raw meat). Of course, Gaga had reasons for wearing a slaughtered cow. She told Ellen that "if we don't start standing up for what we believe in, we will eventually have as many rights as the meat on our bones ... and I'm not a piece of meat!" (not verbatim, but extremely close).
Well, Gaga is now getting heat from, you guessed it, PETA. The organization told TMZ, "After time spent under the TV lights, it would smell like the rotting flesh that it is and likely be crawling in maggots."
