Okay, so if you're a fan of The Big Bang Theory or even if you've just seen a couple of episodes, you know that the characters of Leonard and Penny have been engaged in an on-again, off-again relationship for almost the entire series. Â And now some surprising (or maybe not-so-surprising) news has come out about their portrayers.
Kaley Cuoco Spills the Beans
E!Online reported that Kaley Cuoco has revealed that she dated Johnny Galecki, who plays Leonard opposite her Penny on CBS' The Big Bang Theory, for two years. Â Both couples split last year: offscreen "before the holidays," and onscreen "near the end of" season 3, half a year after the stars' relationship ended. Â Cuoco recently sat down to talk to CBS Watch! Magazine and that's when she finally spilled about the relationship. Â But it hasn't affected anything on set--and it doesn't seem like it's going to, because, as Cuoco put it, "you're dealing with two professionals who have been working since they were both 4." Â They know how to keep the two aspects of the lives separate. Â So how were they able to keep such a big secret hidden from the public eye? Â Cuoco said, "we never spoke a word about it and never went anywhere together," but she thinks that could have been what led to the breakup: "We were so protective of ourselves and the show and didn't want anything to ruin that. Â But that also made it sad, too. Â That's not the kind of relationship I want--I don't want to be hiding."
