Sarah Palin has filed for a restraining order against Shawn R. Christy, 18. The teenager began stalking the Palin family in 2009. His behavior became progressively stranger with time.
According to the Boston Herald, Alaska Magistrate Judge Colleen Ray gave Sarah Palin a temporary 20-day protective order on Monday. A hearing for the long-term restraining order was set for mid-October.
The Post Chronicle states Sarah Palin’s restraining order documents showed that Christy sent gun purchase receipts to her along with a strange note which stated that he suffered from “evil and wickedness.â€
Christy also claimed that he had a year long affair with Sarah Palin but there is no evidence such an affair ever took place. Shawn R. Christy told Palin that he would track her down at book signings. He also claimed that he would sell all his belongings in order to purchase a shotgun and then go to Alaska. Christy would end all his letters to Palin and her family by signing “Your Magic Enemy.â€
Hopefully, Sarah Palin will get her long-term restraining order because Shawn R. Christy is obviously mentally ill and desperate for attention. Despite how people feel about Sarah Palin, no one should be harassed or stalked or threatened in such a terrifying manner. This situation goes beyond just the former Alaskan governor; it involves her family and her small children.
