Paris Fashion Week has been a well-attended affair, bringing in both fashionable and powerful personalities. One couple with a very strong presence at the shows are the Pinaults - Francois-Henri and the beautiful Salma Hayek.
Salma and Francois-Henri are putting their best-dressed efforts on the front row. On October 5, the couple attended the Alexander McQueen show, a collection that has been well-received thanks to the efforts of Sarah Burton and her team. Salma wore that familiar McQueen silhouette of strong shoulders and draped skirts. With her hair pulled back into a bun, Salma’s lace dress had no competition for attention. The scallop-edged black lace looked beautiful on her. Black tights and boots, also by Alexander McQueen, completed her outfit.
On October 4, the couple watched YSL’s Spring/ Summer 2011 Collection at the Hotel Salomon de Rothschild. This time, Salma chose a strapless YSL jumpsuit in red and black. Actress Rebecca Hall wore the jumpsuit about a month ago and though Salma and Rebecca’s figures are vastly different, they each had their own way of wearing the outfit. Salma toned down the cleavage-baring neckline with a YSL jacket. It was a bold look nonetheless, what with her figure, not to mention the sexy red lip.
Salma’s appearance at Stella McCartney’s show caused quite a bit of talk. While her matching belted skirt and top in navy, and over-the-knee boots made for a covered-up yet figure-hugging ensemble, it was Salma’s choice of head gear that was buzzed about. A black and grey turban was wrapped around Salma’s head.
At first glance, the turban seemed like a fashion disaster. And yet a second, third or fourth glance would make you second guess that thought. Or maybe it was just Salma’s fierce attitude and gorgeous looks that somehow made it work.
