Actor Bruce Willis narrowly escaped getting injured when a escalator he was using started to speed out of control. It seems life was imitating art in a "Die Hard" type movie stunt, and luckily Willis is unharmed.
The incident occurred at the MoMA for a screening of Willis's new film "Red," the New York Post reports. Willis was there with publicist Paul Bloch when the mishap on the escalator started. Apparently the escalator started to go at "near-carnival-ride speed" a source reported. Many women were screaming in terror just like a movie scene, and one even jumped off almost landing on Bruce. The cool action hero made sure she was alright. Willis' publicist said they had to jump off due to the speed.
Of course Willis was promoting a new action movie at the time, but this was no "publicity stunt."Â Willis' latest movie is based on DC Comic Books and is called "Red," also starring elder actors John Malkovich, Morgan Freeman, Helen Mirren and Ernest Borgnine who is 93-years-old.
Glad to hear Bruce Willis escaped the escalator and that nobody was seriously hurt. It sounds like quite a frightening incident to be a part of. Maybe there needs to be a Bruce Willis reality TV show, because his life sounds full of adventure and excitement as compared to some of the other "celebs" put in their own series!
