Previously R&B singer Mario was arrested and charged with second-degree assault, after he was accused of pushing his mother into the wall.
Tuesday, the misdemeanor assault charges were dropped agianst the "Let Me Love You" star. Shawntia Hardaway, Mario's mother, changed her story while on the witness stand. She admitted to being under the influence of drugs and alcohol the day of the incident.
So was she mad because he wouldn't give her money for her addiction? Or is she covering for her son?
Mario has been helping his mother fight her addictions since he was a teenager, and he has no intentions on giving up now.
Rather you're battling cancer or an addiction, family is so important to have around. No one who has a heart would want to see their mother or father suffering from any disease. Mario doesn't seem like the type who would hit his mother. All you can do is pray they work things out and things get better.
