When Harry Met Sally actress Michelle Nicastro has died.  The unsung hero across many genres in entertainment, who played the role of Amanda Reese 21 years ago, lost a 10-year battle with breast cancer.

The 1989 film When Harry Met Sally, directed by Rob Reiner, starred Harry Burns (Billy Crystal) and Sally Albright (Meg Ryan).  The romantic comedy has Michelle Nicastro, 50, (Amanda Reese) to thank for connecting the two polar opposites who differ in opinion on the role sex plays in friendships.

The When Harry Met Sally actress who died aka Michelle Nicastro, will always be remembered as the match-maker of the century for pulling off such a feat.

Although Nicastro got her feet wet in the film world of entertainment with her 1984 role Body Rock, it would be her role as Amanda Reese in When Harry Met Sally that jettison her to the stars.

Michelle Nicastro's resume in entertainment reads like a decorated war hero's.  The Washington D.C. native had a love for Broadway musicals as she starred in the popular Les Misérables production.

She went on to make appearances in prime time shows like the Hoff's Knight Rider, Murder, She Write, Full House, and one classic favorite [if it can be called a classic, yet], Beverly Hills 90210, to name a few.  She will be remembered for her dynamic style of acting, and the grace and style by which she did it.

Michelle Nicastro died on November 4, 2010 after a 10-year bout with breast cancer. When she was diagnosed at the age of 40, instead of thinking it represented a death sentence, the When Harry Met Sally actress, before she died, started a business that attempted to empower others to live life one day at a time, and not look back on the traumas of yesterday.
