Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie took two of their six kids for a shopping spree—in Paris. What a way to kick off the Christmas season! Why didn’t we think of that? They shopped the Bonpoint boutique, known to be celeb-friendly, which likely means super-expensive, with daughters Shiloh and Zahara, and the girls made use of a special room which holds a kid-sized farmhouse with tunnels to explore. Could that be something like a McDonalds play area, only fancier?
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt shopped like ordinary parents. Well, sort of. The Jolie-Pitts picked up gloves and pajamas, pants and boots—one pair zebra striped—sweaters and the sorts of clothing all kids need. They added two knight-in-armor costumes, complete with swords. Kids will be kids. And a green plastic alligator. The alligator, sources report, is “for Knoxâ€. Shiloh wielded one of the swords.
This is a working trip for mom and dad. Angelina Jolie is plugging her new film, “A Touristâ€, and Brad Pitt is pushing “Megamind 3-Dâ€. But there was plenty of time for fun. The group, with varying pairs of children, also toured thermal baths and the premiere, reports the Huffington Post, of Pitt’s “Megamindâ€. Among other places.
Naturally, even half a world away, everyone was watching and commenting. Most tourists look at the scenery. The Jolie-Pitts are the scenery. It would be tough to have reporters everywhere evaluating your choice of toys and pjs. Shiloh’s well-known tendency to wear boy-styled clothing has made world headlines. Now she has a sword, to go with them.
