Emma Watson admitted that reshooting Harry Potter was “strange.” Watson stated on her Facebook: "Currently at Leavesden filming reshoots with Dan and Rupert. Feels strange to be back!" Watson is filming reshoots for Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part Two. Didn’t the film wrap up production a while ago?
Apparently, Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint had to do “pick-ups” in the epilogue scenes for Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part Two. Considering the amount of money Warner Bros is rumored to be losing, the reshoots are probably more than simple “pick-ups.”
Some of the set was rebuilt for the scenes. It's a safe bet building the set probably took a bite out of Warner Bros.' wallet.
Even though Emma Watson may have felt a bit strange to be back working on Harry Potter, she was still happy to see the rest of the cast. A source claimed:
"The cast and crew had a private giggle that the film has become 'Harry Potter and The Costly Hallows.' They had all said an emotional goodbye to the filming they loved, so it was good news for them as they heard they had to come back. Their bosses haven't been laughing, though. They had to recreate King's Cross at Leavesden, which has been a huge expense."
When it comes to huge productions like the Harry Potter films, it’s a guarantee that even a simple reshoot for “pick-ups” will need lots of extra work! Let’s hope these changes make the movie a satisfying one to watch when it’s released!
