Kelsey Grammer is after a quick divorce, it seems. He's eager to marry his new girlfriend, so he's been asking the judge handling his divorce from Camille to put booster rockets on that process. What, is the new girl pregnant?
The legal term for the process Grammer's asked the judge for is called "bifurcation." This would allow the divorce to go forward but split the alimony and asset splitting to be handled afterward. And yes, Kelsey Grammer's new lady is pregnant.
TMZ broke the news of Kelsey Grammer's quick divorce request earlier today. His girlfriend Kayte Walsh was noted by TMZ as being pregnant back in August. Grammer's rather big on conservative values, so in a sense he's trying to do the right thing.
But Kelsey Grammer wanting a quick divorce to marry his pregnant mistress is hardly in keeping with conservative values. Just conservative behavior. Puts him in line with people like John McCain and Newt Gingrich, who couldn't ditch their older wives fast enough, either.
As for Kelsey Grammer's soon-to-be ex-wife Camille, she's taking it well enough but is apparently getting tired of what she calls Kelsey's immature behavior. She certainly has that label down right.
Kelsey Grammer's quick divorce is likely to be granted. Bifurcation's not that unusual. It's why he wants it that gets downright crass. Camille Grammer should count herself lucky she's losing him. She deserves better.
