Betty White has been dubbed one of 2010's "Comeback Kids" after the phenomenal year she has had as an entertainer. Will 2011 be just as good for the almost 89-year-old actress?
According to a report from MSN, the network has named White one of the 2010 "Comeback Kids," alongside other entertainers and sports figures. The number of appearances that she made in 2010, especially given her age, was absolutely phenomenal.
Betty White started the year by appearing along with late night talk show rivals David Letterman and Jay Leno, when she did a spot in a Superbowl Sunday ad. It was positively hilarious. She went on to advertise for Snickers candy bars throughout the remainder of the year.
White hosted an episode of "Saturday Night Live" after a huge Facebook campaign was launched in an effort to convince the "SNL" producers to ask her to be a host. It was the most successful Facebook campaign to date, and resulted in her hosting an amazingly hilarious episode of the show, for which she even earned a Primetime Emmy Award.
And then Betty White went on to star in a new sitcom during 2010, playing the role of Elka Ostrovsky in TV Land's "Hot in Cleveland."
Yes, it's quite simply a fact that Betty White did far more in 2010 at the age of 88 than most of us did in the past five years! She is one amazing woman, a fine actress and she has a sense of humor that long defies her elderly status.
It is no surprise whatsoever that Betty White was named 2010 "Comeback Kid." Her fans are now eagerly awaiting word of what she plans to do in 2011.
