Alison Sweeney, star of "The Biggest Loser" and the daytime drama "Days of Our Lives" has an important health message for everyone, including fellow celebrities. Lay off the fast food!
According to a report from Popeater, Sweeney's new book "The Mommy Diet" was released this week, and promises to beat even Snooki's infamous "A Shore Thing," in sales. In the book she insists on the importance of avoiding fast food at all cost.
Alison Sweeney explains that celebrities in the limelight owe their fans far more than what they provide when allowed to be seen eating fast food. When seeing stars like Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt taking their children to fast food restaurants, Sweeney says she cringes. She explains that if most people understood the damage that fast food is doing to their bodies, they would likely never eat it.
We, as a nation, are caught up in a fast food craze. It has little or nothing to do with the taste or overall appeal of the food, but rather everything to do with the fact that we've become a nation that rushes from one thing to the next. Sadly, when living that way, people often don't live in the moment, and fail to truly enjoy or gain from those things they rush around to do.
Just a few decades ago it was common practice for families to sit down each evening and eat dinner together. Nowadays families who eat dinner at home together are in a minority. This trend has led to more people eating fast food, and thus to unhealthier and more overweight Americans as a whole.
Alison Sweeney's book offers ideas that are quick, easy and healthy. They are also excellent alternatives to giving in to fast food. The "Biggest Loser" host has also started her own web site designed to offer tips and inspiration to those looking to live healthier lifestyles.
"Lay off the fast food," is good advice offered by Alison Sweeney, and it doesn't just pertain to people like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. It applies to everyone, everywhere. In addition to the high fat and sodium contents, the chemicals associated with many of these food choices can do irreparable damage to both adults and children.
If you haven't made a New Year's resolution yet, perhaps this is one to consider. Laying off the fast food will result in improved health and weight loss. It works for Alison Sweeney and the "Biggest Loser" contestants! It should work for everyone else, too.
