Mad Men star January Jones and SNL funny man Jason Sudeikis have called it quits. The couple had been dating since July, and found that a long distance relationship simply didn't work for them.
According to MSN, it became strategically difficult on Jones, whose show films in Los Angeles, and Sudeikis, who performs live on Saturday Night Live in New York, to keep their flame ignited.
A source told MSN that the two actually got along just fine, and one day it might even work out again. However, someone will have to move in order for that to happen. The distance and travel time were just not synonymous with a relationship for this duo.
In addition to playing the role of Betty Draper on Mad Men, January Jones has recently been named the face of Versace for their Spring-Summer 2011 line.
Jason Sudeikis has been part of the SNL cast ensemble since 2005. He is the nephew of former Cheers star and frequent 90's SNL guest star George Wendt.
While it's too bad that January Jones and Jason Sudeikis weren't able to make things work for them, it's almost refreshing to see this kind of split where insults aren't flying and rumors aren't starting. The amicable split was made for logistical reasons, and the two are being adults about it. Not all parties in celebrity splits can say they've behaved with such class and grace. Wouldn't it be nice if they did?
