Tammy Etheridge says that Melissa Etheridge cheated on her, as evidenced by sex toys she discovered on accident. While one celebrated a new relationship with the Nurse Jackie creator, the other took to her blog with the big guns.
They were a fabled couple in Hollywood before Portia and Ellen became an item. However, behind the scenes of this high-profile relationship, a tsunami was quietly developing that would lead to the end of Melissa and Tammy's marriage.
According to Tammy Etheridge, her beloved spouse, Melissa Etheridge was betraying her while they were still sharing a home and working on their failing relationship. Melissa, according to Tammy, had placed some distance between the two of them for some time, and eventually, they discussed an end to the relationship.
In November of last year, Tammy moved out on a mutual agreement, but three weeks later, a startling discovery was made.
A courier delivered a box of goodies aka battery-operated male genitalia (the prosthetic kind) to the residence Tammy Etheridge was renting, post breakup with Melissa. When she opened it, several sex toys belonging to Melissa were discovered. The package had been delivered to Tammy by mistake.
She immediately called her former beau and lit into her, sharing a piece of her mind about an obvious covert affair that was going on. Â The alleged affair partially explains Melissa Etheridge's distance and loss of interest in the final days.
Tammy said,..." i have your new #icks on my kitchen counter?"
In fact, Tammy Etheridge took to her blog to let the world know that Melissa Etheridge was a cheater. Â Classy or not, it happened.
Was she right to have unleashed on Melissa's running around on her? Or, should she have taken a more diplomatic approach and auctioned the sex toys on eBay to help pay her rent? Â Just a thought.
The couple formally split in April of 2010.

I can well understand that as my late ex cheated on me and told people, while I was pregnant and separated, of the baby not being his, to also my face. Bad enough he did what he did but to go around saying I was cheating on him was an outrage to me. Of course my son was his, I hadn't been with anyone else. Hard enough to support one child myself while finding out I was going to have a second child to support.
So I can understand her desire to set the record straight. Melissa would have been wise to have handled it all differently and told her she found someone else. It would have be a harder time to separate, but maybe this kind of public drama could have been avoided.
