Apparently, Kate Beckinsale didn't always embrace her sexuality. She recently admitted that she was awkward as a child. It took a while before she accepted the fact that she was a hottie and not a plain Jane.
Beckinsale stated, "I was an awkward child. I would not want to go out of the house unless I wore tartan tights, a stripy skirt and spotted T-shirt. I was a nightmare."
She added, "I was quite fat as a small child. I suddenly had hips and I was about 4ft 11in at 14. Then I grew in height, massively. I am 5ft 7in now."
Sounds like Kate Beckinsale was a late bloomer. That's not a problem because at 37, the actress has never looked better. As for the blond hair, that's probably a new look Beckinsale is trying out. It will be short-lived because in March, production for Underworld 4: New Dawn starts.
Bottom line: blond or brunette, Kate Beckinsale is still hot!
