Roger Ebert has become an inspiration to many. The 68-year-old movie critic has recently returned to T.V with the “Roger’s Office” segment of his new show, after his battle with thyroid cancer. The surgeries required during the movie reviewer’s battle left him unable  to eat, or drink, as a portion of his jaw had to be removed. Additionally, Ebert was not able to talk after his surgeries.
The beloved “Two Thumbs Down” reviewer was recently fitted with a facial prosthesis, and According to an article at Associated Content, Roger Ebert has stated "Symbolically, it's as if my illness never happened and, hey, here I still am, on the show with these new kids. When people see the 'Roger's Office' segment, they'll notice my voice more than my appearance." Good for you Mr, Ebert! It is truly amazing to see you back out there doing what you love after such a troublesome road has been traveled!
In addition to his new segment, Roger Ebert also wrote on his blog about the Outguess Ebert contest where contestants attempt to outguess Roger on who will win at the Oscars. According to an article at Gather.com, Once Roger makes his guesses; contestants will have the opportunity to Outguess Ebert for a chance to win $100,000. Reportedly the largest prize ever for this contest!
