Lea Michele and her Cosmo cover has actually been banned in at least one store. One Texas grocery store named BrookshireÂ’s has pulled the March issue of Cosmopolitan because of complaints over the Glee starÂ’s exposed cleavage.
Now if customers of the Texas store want to buy a copy of the magazine, they have to go and ask for it at the customer service counter like it is a porno or something. In the magazineÂ’s place, there is a notice directing fans to customer service. However, there doesnÂ’t seem to be any age requirement at this point for purchasing the March Cosmo featuring Lea Michele and her chest.
Part of the reason for the outcry is because on Glee, Lea Michele plays a high school student Rachel Berry. However, the cover does not show any nipple, and really isnÂ’t any different than anything else seen on magazine covers. The star is of age, and this magazine cover isnÂ’t too over the top.
This is one of many recent magazine cover controversies. Just last month, an Arkansas store placed family shields over a magazine cover of Sir Elton John and his family.
What do you think? Is the Lea Michele Cosmo cover too revealing? Should it be banned from stores?
