Roseanne Barr Calls Ex-Husband a 'Piece of Garbage'

Roseanne Barr is in a nasty post-divorce fight with ex-husband Ben Thomas over monthly trips to Hawaii. Not a bad perk, if you’re Thomas—pretty expensive if you’re Barr. He said, she said; he wrote, she wrote! TMZ and CelebDirtyLaundry have somewhat different spins, and as always, there is Buck Thomas, 15, caught in the middle. Roseanne says Thomas is a “piece of garbage!” He says his wealth “pales in comparison to hers.”
Some basics: Barr makes a reported $300,000/month and she promised, when she moved to Hawaii, to pay for visits from BuckÂ’s dad Ben Thomas, her former bodyguard-turned husband-turned-ex-husband. As TMZ says, the arrangement was in writing. But maybe not all of it.

Since the agreement, says Celeb Dirty Laundry, Thomas went to the Philippines, remarried, and now expects that the visits will be for ten days each month, first class all the way, for him and his wife. Side thought:  How do you hold down a job, while taking ten day trips to Hawaii every month. Anyone who knows that answer, please share. Roseanne Barr says Thomas has married and divorced Philippine women before—once, twice?—and no wife was part of the deal.

Anyway, on one such occasion, Barr canceled the first class tickets at the last minute, stating, “Buy yourself a ticket, book a room…See you in court.”  It’s not hard to hear those words coming from Roseanne Barr’s mouth.

Thomas did. Poor soul. He, as TMZ reports, paid for his own first class ticket, but he made up for the difference by eating in inexpensive restaurants, renting a cheap car and filling it at Costco. Gee, lots of people eat in cheap restaurants, buy low-status cars and fill up at Costco all the time. Guess Ben Thomas is onto the celeb life. Anyone else want to be RosanneÂ’s bodyguard?
