Bill Clinton still occupies an important place in the heart of the woman who almost destroyed his presidency--Monica Lewinsky. In fact, the former White House intern who became world famous after her affair with the former president still considers him the great love of her life. Fifteen years after the sex scandal that rocked the nation, Lewinsky swears: "I still love, Bill. I always will."
Although the formerly overweight Lewinsky has slimmed down during the years since her affair with then President Bill Clinton, she has neither married nor had children. Her close friends claim that's because she's still pining for Bill.
"Monica still hasn't gotten over Bill and would take him back in a second," revealed a friend. "She told me, 'There will never be another man in my life that could make me as happy as he did.' "
That's quite a statement since Lewinsky must surely have always known that a serious long-term relationship with Clinton was patently impossible. Nevertheless, claim her friends, she still "carries a torch for him." Although she has dated others, the now 37-year-old brunette has "never been able to get Bill out of her heart." In fact, according to her tattle-tale intimates, she has always believed Clinton "cared for her as much as she cared for him. And she still believes it to this very day."
Of course, Monica Lewinsky can consider Bill Clinton the great love of her life if she wants to. But if she really believes that he truly loved her then the poor woman is obviously delusional. For fifteen years, she has clung to a ridiculous fantasy, and she has traded her youth and a large chunk of her adult life for false memories of a past that never existed. Sad.

Is that really fair? Doesn't Bill deserve some measure of the responsibility? Or, how about the media which sensationalized the issue beyond proportion? Or, how about the Republican Congress and more specifically the impeachment panel who used the matter to achieve political ends. There is a long list of those who are responsible for the effect this matter had on the presidency, and Monica is very low on that list.
And what about all these Monica quotes from an UNNAMED friend? And just who did this unnamed friend tell this to?
Basically, I'm pointing out what a slimy article this is.
