Rapper Ja Rule has pleaded guilty once again. This time Ja Rule's guilty pleas was to tax evasion; last time was to a gun charge in December of 2010. Unfortunately, it doesn't
look like this rapper has learned his lesson because he just keeps getting in trouble.
Seriously, of all the things one can do to mess with the government, money shouldn't be one of them. Remember people, Al Capone was taken down not for his mob ties or murders but for tax evasion. The government doesn't play nice when one won't give them a slice.
Anyhow, Ja Rule a.k.a. Jeffrey Atkins pleaded guilty to three misdemeanor tax charges on Tuesday. He admitted that for a five-year period, he hasn't filed tax returns and instead requested extensions which he later disregarded. The rapper now owes over $1.1 million in back taxes because he earned over $4 million between 2004 and 2008.
Despite Jeffery's tweet following his court preceding which stated, "Â… IÂ’m taking care of it case closed. WINNING lol..." It doesn't seem like he's going to be winning in the end because Rapper Ja Rule will now have to wait for June 13th when he gets sentenced. The courts are expected to send him to prison for up to three years. LOSING =^(
