Have Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz called off their divorce? The young couple announced in February that they were getting a divorce. They have been spotted in recent days together, however, and looking very happy in each other's company.
According to a report from Popeater, the pair were seen at a Starbucks, along with son Bronx on Thursday. They were laughing and holding hands.
It is no secret that Pete Wentz was crushed when wife Ashlee Simpson filed for divorce. He was very vocal about the fact that he did not want to get divorced. Have things really changed between the two of them--enough that Simpson might have considered withdrawing the divorce papers?
It was rumored around the time that Simpson filed for divorce that Wentz had some personal issues and had a very dark and depressed side. Could Ashlee Simpson have convinced him to get some counseling, and perhaps is sticking by him to help as needed? Maybe if counseling was sought, she has rethought the entire divorce notion.
Friends are wondering if Ashlee Simpson made too hasty a decision in filing for divorce, saying they have spotted them enjoying meals in restaurants together and looking very cozy.
A source tells Popeater that Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz are probably going to reconcile.
"Ashlee and Pete definitely seem to be back on--from their body language to the smile on their faces, it certainly looks like they're headed toward reconciliation," the source says.
Only time will tell if Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz have called off their divorce. For the sake of their son, and the two and a half years they invested in their marriage, that couldn't be a bad thing.
