Rebecca Black to be a Reporter at Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards

Rebecca Black made a super viral music video that has, so far, garnered 70 million views. She's had her signature song, Friday, covered by superstars like Nick Jonas, and even her idol, Justin Bieber. She's been compared to Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato. She's working on a debut album, and come July, she's going to Australia with her eagerly awaited Black Friday Tour. Perhaps it's time to face the fact that the girl has become ubiquitous.

Now, Ryan Seacrest has "handpicked" the formerly unknown eighth grader to be a reporter at the 2011 Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards. Yes, Rebecca Black will walk her first, but surely not her last, red carpet this weekend with a microphone using her annoying—er—inimitable voice to interview a panoply of luminaries. She'll also provide commentary on the evening's events. This isn't the first time Seacrest has given Black a boost up the ladder of success. A few weeks ago, he introduced her to her manager, Debra Baum of DB Entertainment. Through Baum, the preternaturally lucky teen acquired a contract with Flying Pig Productions to make a debut album. And now, she has yet another gig reporting for Ryanseacrest.com at the Kids' Choice Awards.
